Catalonia’s wet wipes campaign
The Generalitat de Cataluña, in partnership with Barcelona City Hall and region, developed an awareness campaign run by the Catalan Water agency, Agència Catalana de l’Aigua, to inform citizens about good practices when disposing of wet wipes.
Using the slogan “Estamos creando un monstruo, y esto no es una película” (“We are creating a monster, and this is not a movie”), the campaign is centred on the environmental and health consequences of inappropriate waste disposal of wipes.
